October 3rd’s softball tournament was a hit! Proceeds will go to the Sherman Veterans Association knowing that memorial banners are going up and may need supportive funding. Sherman Church was one of six teams playing, including the Library, Firehouse, Daily Market, School and Rock Harbor Builders, who won the tournament. It was a GLORIOUS day, with fine friends and food – supplied generously with volunteer helpers. As First Selectman, Don Lowe, said, “Much appreciation to the umpires, scorekeepers, food servers, Rich at the Daily Market, and Kris Fazzone and public works for making the fields look amazing!”

The Sherman Church was super excited to participate – our second year now! This year we managed to win a game! And now we look forward to meeting friends on the field next year!
