| Photos from Saturday’s Board/Staff prayer retreat Dear Friends, On Saturday our Board and staff members gathered for our annual Day of Prayer for the new academic year. I like to think of it as the most important day of the school year! We gather for praise and thanksgiving to God for who He is and for His gracious provision. We pray about the big picture of our school–faithfulness to our mission, vision, and core values as well as the sustainability of our school for years to come. We pray focused prayers–interceding specifically for each staff member and scholar by name. Our theme this year will be Romans 8. From “no condemnation to those who are in Christ” in verse 1 to “nothing can separate us from the love of God” in verse 39, Paul explains the truth of what it means to be in Christ Jesus. As we read through, talked about, and prayed over this powerful chapter, several highlights stuck with me: the work of Christ to give access to adoption as sons of God, the work of the Spirit to intercede for us when we don’t know how to pray, and the work of God to create a people who love Him who will forever know His love. What a treasure we have to share with the scholars that God brings to us this fall. We wait in anticipation for all that God is going to do as we step into our 13th year of holding out help, healing, and hope! Tomorrow night we will resume Hear the Word: Hope Academy’s Public Reading of Scripture. Please join us online at 7:00 PM for an hour of listening to God’s Word together. Please pray through these 5 S’s: Staff–ask God to supply at least one more teacher for the fall Scholars–ask God to prepare our scholars for the new academic year Space–ask God for sufficient space to grow as He desires Supply–ask God for provision for all of our financial needs Spread–ask God for opportunities to share the HA story with othersFor the Hope Academy Family, Naomi Woodmansee, Head of School Then and Now: Aron (Class of 2022) as a Hope Academy Scholar and as a young adult at church yesterday.
