The Missions Committee hosted the Women’s Brunch May 16. Ann Van Hine, the widow of a New York City firefighter killed in 9/11, spoke of her reliance on God during those terrible days and months. Speaking with humor and quoting from scripture, she said she was inspired to “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Quiche, homemade casseroles and muffins, fruit and desserts plus warm fellowship made for a perfect morning.
