On December 13, 2025 a moving ceremony took place at 12 o’clock noon as part of Wreaths Across America at the Sherman North Cemetery, Sherman, Connecticut. This event is sponsored and kept vital by the The TJ Lobraico Foundation – Live for TJ, Wreaths Across America.
Those attending remembered and honored our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.
Each branch of the US Military was represented with a wreath along with those missing in action. Local Sherman veteran, Roy Vazquez was honored, and he spoke of and honored his father, Gilbert Vazquez, who was also a verteran.
The flag was raised, taps was played by trumpet and then sung by choir.

The Sherman Church Choir, directed by Penny Rose, sings Taps.
